The tender is for the renovation of electrical installations. Bids must be submitted online. The earnest money shall be deposited online. The bid shall be submitted in two covers. The time allowed for carrying out the work will be 1 month. The contractor whose tender is accepted will be required to deposit furnish performance guarantee of an amount equal to 5. 00 five point zero percent of the tendered amount. The bids shall be opened on the due date of opening. The agency has to produce the original documents as and when asked for by e. e. The failure of the agency to furnish the said original documents will entail summarily rejection of its tender.
The time allowed for carrying out the work will be 1 month in accordance with the phasing, if any, indicated in the tender documents.
The competent authority does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any other tender, and reserves to himself the authority to reject any or all of the tenders received without the assugnment of any reason.
The tender notice states that the bidders must be eligible reputed firms enlisted in appropriate class electrical contractors firms who fulfill the criteria and registered with chandigarh administration, municipal corporation chandigarh, cpwd, state pwds of punjab, haryana, himachal and their boards and corporations and having valid electrical contractor license issued by any govt. deptt, of states centre for execution of below mentioned works.
If any tenderer withdraws his tender before the said period or issue of letter of acceptance, whichever is earlier or makes any modi cations in the terms and conditions of the tender which are not acceptable to the department, then the government shall, without prejudice to any other right or remedy, be at liberty to forfeit 50 of the said earnest money as aforesaid and to forfeit the whole of the earnest money if the tenderer fails to submit the performance guarantee in the prescribed time after issue of letter of acceptance.
Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders as to the nature of the ground and subsoil so far as is practicable, the form and nature of the site, the means of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their tender.
