The tender is for a minor overhaul of a TG Seta turbine and HP Servo Motor. The tenderer must arrange experienced BHEL experts, skilled manpower, and necessary tools and consumables. TNPL will provide spares, EOT crane, electricity, water, and compressed air. The tenderer must complete the work within 18 days. Payment terms include 100% of the contract value within 15 days after completion and a trial run, plus a bank guarantee. A one-year workmanship guarantee is required. Liquidated damages apply for delays. A security deposit (EMD and ASD) is required. The tenderer must comply with all labor rules and safety regulations. TNPL will provide boarding, lodging, and local conveyance for engineers. The tenderer must arrange accommodation, food, and transportation for their workmen. The contract is deemed to have been entered into at Kagithapuram, Karur, and the courts at Karur will be the forum for legal proceedings. The tenderer must quote a firm and fixed rate without escalation. The unit rate must be filled out, otherwise the tender will be rejected. If the tenderer withdraws from the tender or the work, or if the performance is not satisfactory, the EMD and ASD will be forfeited. The tenderer will not be considered for future tenders in TNPL and NIC for a minimum of 3 years. TNPL reserves the right to short close the contract at any time. GST and income tax details are in annexures. Non-payment of GST will lead to blacklisting. The tenderer must assess material requirements and mobilize them to avoid delays. All materials must have a gate pass. Before starting work, the contractor must register their contract with the deputy chief inspector of factories and apply for a contractor's license. The tenderer must comply with all labor rules and regulations (annexure).
The tenderer shall complete the entire work within 18 days from the date of site clearance excluding cooling down period of the set.
100% of the contract value shall be paid within 15 days after completion of minor overhauling of TG 6 after a trial run onload for 72 hours and against submission of a bank guarantee for 10% of the contract value covering workmanship guarantee for one year after recommissioning.
The tenderer shall guarantee for the workmanship for a period of one year after recommissioning.
The tenderer shall arrange experienced BHEL experts, skilled, highly skilled manpower including millwright fitters, riggers, khalasis, helpers etc, tools & tackles including welding machine, gas cutting set. chain pulley block, sling ropes, rope pulleys etc. , consumables such as welding electrodes, O2 da cylinders, ctc, gada cloth, emery sheet for cleaning, oil stones etc, at their own cost and risk.
In the event of the tenderers failure to complete the work within the stipulated time he shall be liable for liquidated damages, not as penalty, 3 sum equivalent to 5% of the contract value per weeks delay subject to a maximum of 5% of the contract value.
Tenderers are requested to visit the site and discuss with engineer in charge to assess the quantum and nature of work before submitting their offer.
