The contractor must register with the commercial tax circle in Kargil. Service tax/GST must be deducted at source. If the contractor fails to start or complete the work within the stipulated time, their EMD will be forfeited, and they will be debarred from taking works in all departments for at least two years. The advertised cost is based on prevailing rates. Rates include all surcharges like taxes. Work done claims will be made as funds are released. The work will be executed as per allocated funds on a yearly basis. The award of contract is subject to administrative approval/technical sanction. If the lowest tenderer quotes below the advertised cost, they must furnish additional performance security. Defect liability period is 6 months after completion. No work shall be executed over the advertised cost/allotted quantities. Extra execution of work is the personal responsibility of the agency. No payment will be considered for execution of additional quantum of work without written permission from higher authorities.
