The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is inviting e-tenders for clog cleaning and allied works for three pumps for five months at Canal Road Drainage Pumping Station. The estimated amount is INR 1,45,****, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 2,950. The tender documents can be downloaded from wbtenders. gov. in. Bids must be submitted online by August 8, 2026, 2:00 PM. Technical bids will be opened on August 11, 2026, 2:00 PM. Eligibility criteria include credentials of similar completed works. A preliminary visit to the site is encouraged. No mobilization advance or secured advance will be allowed. Retention money of 8% will be deducted. The contract period is five months, with a one-year maintenance period after completion. Bidders must comply with labor laws.
The work is for five months. The period of work is 150 days.
The agency shall submit the bill after completion of the work up to the satisfaction of EIC. Retention money will be refunded after successful maintaining of appropriate service level for one year from the date of completion.
The prospective bidder shall have to execute the work in such a manner so that appropriate service level of the work is maintained during progress of work and a period of 1 one year from the date of successful completion of the work to the entire satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge.
Intending tenderers should produce credentials of similar nature of completed work of the minimum value of 40% of the quoted amount put to tender during five years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice, or two similar completed works each of the minimum value of 30%, or one single running work of similar nature completed to the extent of 80% or more.
If any defect damage is found during the maintenance period, the contractor shall make the same good at his own cost. On failure to do so, penal action against the contractor will be imposed by the department as deem fit.
The bidder, at his own responsibility and risk is encouraged to visit and examine the site of works and its surroundings and obtain all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid and entering into a contract for the work as mentioned in the notice inviting tender, before submitting offer with full satisfaction, the cost of visiting the site shall be at his own expense.
If any document submitted by a bidder is either manufactured or false, in such cases the eligibility of the bidder/tenderer will be rejected at any stage without any prejudice. If the kmc authority considers that any tender is unworkably low or very exorbitant indicating that tenderer has not understood the implications in the contract or is attempting either to frustrate the object of the kmc or exploit the kmc, it can debar such tenderer permanently or for such period as it may deem fit from entering into any contract with the kmc.
