Payment terms vary based on the vendor's type (MSE, SME, or non-MSE): MSEs receive payment 45 days from the GR entry date, SMEs 60 days, and non-MSEs 90 days. All payments are made through NEFT or RTGS.

Liquidated damages of Rs. 1000/day will be deducted from bills if plant operation is affected due to incompletion of work within the prescribed time. Delay in service visits or breakdown visits for more than 10 days from the date of call will incur a penalty of 0. 5% of the payment applicable for the ensuing service bill raised. Recovery will be made at the rate of 0. 5% of the total contract value if the instrument is found to be not working for more than ten days. The penalty will be subject to a maximum of 10% of the full order value.
The tenderer/bidder or any of his authorized personnel or agents will be granted permission by the BHEL to enter upon its premises and lands for the purpose of site visit. The bidder is responsible for all liability in respect thereof, including death or personal injury, loss of or damage to property, and any other loss, damage, costs, and expenses incurred as a result of the inspection. In general, bidders shall themselves obtain all necessary information and are deemed to have full knowledge of the site, whether they inspect it or not.
