The tender is for recarpeting a section of road in Chandigarh. The estimated cost is Rs. 10,68,30,556. The last date for receipt of applications is October 8, 2025. The time allowed for carrying out the work will be five months from the date of start as defined in schedule F of financial bid in part II of this document or from the first day of handing over of the site, whichever is later in accordance with the phasing, if any, indicated in the tender document.
The competent authority on behalf of the president of India does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other tender and reserves to itself the authority to reject any or all the tenders received without assigning any reason.
Non-Chandigarh administration registered contractors shall have to fulfill the criteria as given below: CPWD enlisted contractors/agencies to participate in their respective categories up to their tendering limit directly without qualifying the eligibility criteria of the similar works subject to the qualifying of the bid capacity and other financial aspects as a part of the DNLT. The MSMEs firms registered in NSIC under PP policy are exempted from payment of EMD for supply of goods and service only.
If any tenderer withdraws his tender or makes any modification in the terms/conditions of the tender which is not acceptable to the department within 7 days after last date of submission of bids, then the government shall, without prejudice to any other right or remedy, be at liberty to forfeit 50% of earnest money absolutely irrespective of letter of acceptance for the work is issued or not. If any tenderer withdraws his tender or makes any modification in the terms/conditions of the tender which is not acceptable to the department after expiry of 7 days after last date of submission of bids, then the government shall, without prejudice to any other right or remedy, be at liberty to forfeit 100% of the earnest money absolutely irrespective of letter of acceptance for the work is issued or not.
Tenderers are advised to carefully inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves, before submitting their tenders, as to the nature of the ground and subsoil so far as is practicable, the form and nature of the site, the means of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their tender.
