Annual rate contract for maintenance works including repairs, replacement, overhauling, and fitting of various equipment and vehicles. Bids are invited in two covers (technical and financial) on a percentage basis. Contractors must have similar experience and an established workshop. Tender documents can be downloaded from www. ***. *. * submission deadline is June 18, 2026. Technical bids will be opened on June 19, 2026. Key requirements include tender fee, earnest money deposit, GST registration, PAN, DIC registration, electric license, experience certificate, and acceptance of terms and conditions. The contract duration is one year. Performance security is required. The department reserves the right to accept or reject any tender.
The work shall have to be completed within the stipulated period as per allotment order. For urgent nature works, the work shall be started immediately after intimation by the concerned engineer incharge followed by separate allotment order.
All payments due to the contractor will be made subject to the availability of funds in accordance with the unit rate of price schedule. 100% payment shall be made after successful testing and commissioning of the work and subsequent verification thereof by the concerned engineer incharge.
The material/equipment under the repair work shall remain under DLP/warranty of two months. If any defect occurs during this period, the contractor shall be liable for replacement or repairs within the specified time period.
The bidder shall quote the rate on percentage basis of the overall total of the rates and the rate of each item of work will be evaluated on that percentage only.
Contractors must be registered government contractors having similar experience and an established workshop facility for execution of similar nature of works within Srinagar municipal limits.
In the event of the successful tenderer failing, declining, neglecting or delaying the contract execution, the department may recover the amount of loss caused by the damage, failure or default, impose a penalty up to 10% of the total value of the contract, forfeit the performance security, or proceed against the firm/contractor for blacklisting.
The intending tenderers may visit the site of work/inspect the work to be done before tendering for the work.
Failure to upload all requisite documents, making changes in the BOQ, not submitting tender fee in the correct form, or failing to respond and restore emergency systems can lead to disqualification or blacklisting.
