The contractor shall maintain the road surface to the required standards and keep the entire road surface defect free during the defect liability period.
The defects liability period for the bituminous work will be 05 years.
The competent authority on behalf of the president of india does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other tender and reserves to itself the authority to reject any or all the tenders received without the assignment of any reason.
The eligible bidder should have satisfactorily completed the works as mentioned below during the last seven years ending last day of the month previous to the one in which tenders are invited: three similar works each costing not less than of rs. 3, 92, 93, 777 or two similar works each costing not less than of rs. 5, 89, 40, 666 or one similar works each costing not less than of rs. 7, 85, 87, 554 similar work shall mean resurfacingstrengthening works of bituminous roads.
In case the contractor fails to rectify the defects, pertaining to the defect liability period under clauses 1 and 2 above to the satisfaction of the engineerincharge, within the time frame specified, recovery shall be made from the payment due to the contractor as specified below and the defects shall be got rectified by the department by engaging some other agency.
The intending bidders should be owner of at least one hydrostatic paver finisher fitted with electronic sensor control capable of laying atleast 4. 0 to 7. 0 meter width same sensor paver capable of laying minimum 4 m width and extendable up to 7 m width conforming to morth specifications all in good working condition as on date of uploading of tender with ownership documents of paver finisher.
The contractor shall be required to produce samples of all road materials sufficiently in advance to obtain approval of the engineerincharge.
