Online percentage rate bids are invited from contractors enlisted with the Public Health wing of the Engineering Department, UT Chandigarh, for the reuse of rainwater for gardening and flushing systems in toilets at the dispensary in Karsan Ramdarbar, Chandigarh. Bid documents are available free of cost on the website. The tender documents must be uploaded in two covers: one for eligibility documents (Utr no. , transaction slip of online EMD, scanned copy of GST, valid enlistment, and affidavit regarding non-blacklisting) and the other for the financial bid. Earnest money deposit (Rs. 12,850) must be deposited online in the SBI account of the Executive Engineer. The work is estimated to cost Rs. 6,40,914. The completion time is 2 months from the start date. The tender will remain open for 75 days from the opening of the financial bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance guarantee of 5% of the tendered amount. The tenderer shall be responsible for arranging and maintaining all materials, tools, plants, water, electricity, access, facilities for workers, and other services required for executing the work. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason. Tenders without digital signatures will not be accepted. The contractor whose tender is accepted will be required to deposit/furnish performance guarantee of an amount equal to 5. 00 five point zero percent of the tendered amount within the period specified in schedule F. The tender for the works shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 75 days from the opening of financial bid. If any tenderer withdraws his tender before the said period or issue of letter of acceptance, whichever is earlier or makes any modifications in the terms and conditions of the tender which are not acceptable to the department, then the government shall, without prejudice to any other right or remedy, be at liberty to forfeit 50 of the said earnest money as aforesaid and to forfeit the whole of the earnest money if the tenderer fails to submit the performance guarantee in the prescribed time after issue of letter of acceptance. Further, the tenderer shall not be allowed to participate in the retendering process of the work. In the event the tenderer whose tender is accepted and the award letter issued after the receipt of performance guarantee in the prescribed form and time, fails to commence the work along with change in scope, if any in the prescribed time or abandons work before its completion, the government shall without prejudice to any other right or remedy be at liberty to forfeit the whole of the earnest money and performance guarantee shall stand forfeited in full and shall be absolutely at the disposal of the Chandigarh administration.
The time allowed for carrying out the work will be 02 months from the date of start as defined in schedule F or from the first day of handing over of the site, whichever is later, in accordance with the phasing, if any, indicated in the tender documents.
The overall lowest bid will be the criteria for finalization of the tender.
The agency who have completed any category i. e public health services, fire fighting, air conditioning, machinery equipment successfully. The bidder should furnish the certificate that the firm has not been blacklisted, debarred, or suspended by any of the department central/state government/central autonomous body/central public sector undertaking.

Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders as to the nature of the ground and subsoil so far as is practicable, the form and nature of the site, the means of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their tender.
